Matthias Vandepitte

Matthias is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Strada Partners.

He started his career as an engineer at ExxonMobil in Belgium and Italy, before transitioning into private equity after completing his MBA. He joined Gimv in 2011, where he focused on buyouts in the lower mid-market. From 2016 to 2021, he was a Partner at Fortino Capital, leading the private equity fund and specialising in B2B software and buy-and-build strategies.

He lives in Antwerp with his wife and three sons. Outside of work, he is more likely to be found on a bike than on a golf course.

Matthias holds an MBA from London Business School and a Master’s degree in Engineering from KU Leuven and ENSIMAG Grenoble. He is fluent in Dutch, French, English and Italian, with working knowledge of German.
